Here we see the before and after results on a coffee machine drip tray, drip tray cover grill, filter holder and filter basket.

These, along with a few other bits, were soaked in a sachets worth of Puly Caff for 2 hours.

As you can see, this was highly effective, the parts were simply wiped with a soft cloth and rinsed with cold water afterwards.





Here we see pictures of a group head, the before picture is typical of what you will see on a machine after one years moderate useage.

We removed the old group seal gasket and went to work using a grinder brush and some Puly Caff diluted in some hot water.

With only 2 minutes hard scrubbing the group head shone like new, we then fitted a new group seal to the head.



Hmm nice ! Below we see the internals of a commercial one group machine complete with limescale.

You may think this looks extreme but in fact there are thousands of espresso machines out there, which appear to work perfectly well, that have similar problems.

We dissolved three tablespoons of Calcinet into two pints of boiling water and left the solution to soak in the boiler for 2 hours.

On our return we rinsed the boiler out and gave it a good scrub up with a grinder teeth brush, as you can see it came up nice and shiny, the owner of this machine was delighted with the all new, better tasting espresso.

He was also shocked to see the 'before' photos!
